A secret government agency run by Amanda Waller, named ARGUS creates a task force comprised of super villains, the 'Suicide Squad'. They are assigned to execute dangerous tasks in exchange for shorter prison sentences. The official novelization of the eagerly anticipated blockbuster film, written and directed by David Ayer and based on the DC comics, starring Ben Affleck as Batman alongside Will Smith, Jared Leto, Viola Davis, Margot Robbie, Cara Delevigne and Jai Courtney. The film will be released in the UK on 5th August 16. The third instalment in the DC Extended Universe, following Man of Steel (2013) and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016).
